Nonkululeko (Nkuli) Mkhize is a Strategic Funding Advisor, investment professional and business leader whose career spans more than two decades across investment banking, strategic funding, investment structuring, fund management, international trade and investment promotion, project development and executive leadership.
Her professional journey has been shaped by senior leadership roles within the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), where she gained extensive experience in investment banking, project development and investment structuring, together with diplomatic appointments as Trade Attaché and Economic Counsellor, representing South Africa in the United Arab Emirates and Israel. These roles provided extensive exposure to international trade, cross-border investment, economic diplomacy and strategic stakeholder engagement, working alongside governments, multinational corporations, investors and development institutions to facilitate investment and strengthen commercial partnerships.
Over the course of her career, Nkuli has established and led investment platforms, advised organisations on strategic funding and growth initiatives, structured complex investment opportunities and supported businesses and institutions in preparing for meaningful engagement with investors and funding institutions. Her experience spans strategic funding, investment structuring, institution building, executive leadership, stakeholder engagement and transformational growth initiatives.
As the Founder of Mteule Capital & Advisory, Nkuli partners with business owners, executives, boards, funds and project sponsors to help organisations become ready for funding, structure complex opportunities and build institutions capable of attracting long-term capital. Her advisory philosophy is founded on the belief that capital follows confidence, and that successful funding is the result of capable leadership, sound governance, commercial discipline and institutional readiness.
Nkuli is also the Founder & Executive Chair of SP Impact Fund, an institutional fund management company focused on capital deployment, fund management and the administration of funding programmes.
